On March 25, a special “on-site office meeting” took place at ATOMROBOT in Tianjin.
Zhang Guihua, Vice Mayor of Binhai New Area, led a delegation into the company’s exhibition hall and production floor. Sitting together with company executives, the group listened to business needs, discussed operational challenges, and worked through solutions on the spot.
With enterprises “raising the questions” and the government “providing the answers,” this problem-oriented visit exemplifies Binhai New Area’s ongoing efforts to optimize the business environment and deliver precise support to key industrial chain enterprises.
From “Reporting” to “Problem-Solving”: Putting Enterprise Needs on the Table
Founded in 2013 in Binhai New Area, ATOMROBOT has grown from a startup into a national-level “Little Giant” specialized and innovative enterprise. Its high-speed Delta parallel robots have ranked No.1 in domestic market share for five consecutive years, with products sold worldwide. The company has raised over RMB 400 million in funding and formally submitted its IPO application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in January 2026.
In 2025, ATOMROBOT launched Tianjin’s first humanoid robot, Tianbing-1, further expanding into the frontier field of embodied intelligence.
While technological leadership and market expansion have been achieved, new business tracks bring new challenges. During the discussion, Chairman Liu Songtao spoke candidly: in 2026, the company will focus heavily on industry–university–research collaboration in embodied AI, yet still faces growing pains in areas such as policy alignment, university partnerships, and platform development.
This was not a routine briefing, but a solution-oriented dialogue centered on specific issues:
- How to accurately align with municipal industry–university–research support policies?
- How to establish deep cooperation mechanisms with local universities?
From “Listening” to “Taking Action”: Practical On-Site Coordination
In response to the company’s candid feedback, Binhai New Area’s officials provided direct and practical commitments.
Vice Mayor Zhang immediately assigned responsibilities to relevant departments on site:
- The District Education and Sports Bureau will facilitate partnerships between the company and local universities to advance embodied AI initiatives.
- The District Science and Technology Bureau will connect the company with municipal-level industry–university–research policies and assist in applying for innovation programs.
- The District Industry and Information Technology Bureau will support ATOMROBOT in its role as an industrial “chain leader,” particularly in supply chain collaboration and opening application scenarios.
- The District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau will lead the establishment of joint talent training bases and implement training subsidies and certification for practical training centers.
- The Economic Development Zone will provide localized support in supply-demand matching and industrial ecosystem development.
All departments were instructed to create tracking records, define responsibilities, and set deadlines to ensure every enterprise request receives a clear response and concrete follow-up.
From “Solving Problems” to “Creating New Paths”: Government and Enterprise Working Together
Following this visit, both sides will establish a regular communication mechanism to safeguard the company’s development.
Specific cooperation plans will be formulated and implemented in the near future. ATOMROBOT’s management stated that the company will continue to stay rooted in Binhai and contribute to its development, using this visit as an opportunity to accelerate embodied AI industry–university–research projects and contribute further to the high-quality growth of the local robotics industry.
From the workshop floor to the meeting table, from “raising questions” to “delivering answers,” this visit reflects a shift in government service philosophy: from “enterprises seeking government” to “government proactively serving enterprises.”
This may well be the most tangible expression of how “new quality productive forces” take root at the local level: when the government builds the platform and enterprises take the stage, working in the same direction, the “impossible” can become “possible.”
