Addressing two major industry challenges—the difficulty of commercializing laboratory technologies and dependence on imported core industrial equipment—the conference also released the Science-Industry Integration (Tianjin) Initiative and a list of key technological challenges in the high-tech sector. These initiatives promote a collaborative innovation model in which enterprises define real-world challenges, research institutions develop solutions, the market validates results, and industries implement applications.

ATOMROBOT’s two showcased products target two essential industrial demands: heavy-duty flexible operations and intelligent autonomous inspection, combining large-scale industrial deployment capability with cutting-edge research value. Their debut aligns perfectly with the conference’s mission of accelerating technology commercialization and advancing high-end intelligent equipment, providing new domestically developed solutions for intelligent and unmanned manufacturing across the Bohai Rim region and beyond.

1. SkyBot ATOM01

The World’s First Stewart Parallel-Structure Embodied Humanoid Robot

Today’s humanoid robots generally struggle to balance high payload capacity, operational flexibility, and intelligent perception. Lightweight robots excel at delicate manipulation but cannot handle heavy materials, while heavy-duty models often sacrifice dexterity and precision.

Powered by a fully self-developed technology stack, SkyBot ATOM01 pioneers a Stewart parallel waist mechanism, achieving an exceptional combination of rigidity and flexibility. The waist supports up to 200 kg, significantly expanding the performance limits of humanoid robots.

The robot features dual symmetrical 7-axis force-controlled robotic arms, each capable of carrying 12.5 kg with a 686 mm reach, closely replicating natural human arm movement. End-effectors can be rapidly switched between a two-finger gripper and a five-finger dexterous hand, allowing one robot to seamlessly perform both:

  • Heavy material handling
  • Precision assembly and delicate manipulation

This enables manufacturers to achieve both high throughput and fine-process automation using a single platform.

The robot is mounted on an omnidirectional mobile base integrating Laser SLAM and vision fusion navigation. Its dual-steering-wheel drive enables zero-radius turning, allowing agile movement through narrow workshops, confined workstations, and complex production layouts.

The body combines high-strength alloy materials with medium-carbon structural steel load-bearing components, balancing lightweight construction with outstanding structural strength.

Its 26-degree-of-freedom biomimetic architecture is powered by a 170 TOPS AI computing module, featuring:

  • 12-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU
  • 2048-core NVIDIA CUDA GPU

Together with depth cameras, multi-line LiDAR, and inertial navigation modules, the robot forms a comprehensive multi-modal perception system capable of:

  • 360° environmental awareness
  • Millisecond-level response
  • Autonomous navigation in complex environments

An open secondary development platform allows developers to customize applications for both industrial deployment and academic research.

SkyBot ATOM01 is suitable for:

  • Heavy industrial material handling
  • Precision assembly
  • Hazardous industrial operations
  • Smart warehousing
  • Medical assistance
  • Research laboratories

As one of China’s leading humanoid robots combining high payload capacity with precision manipulation, SkyBot ATOM01 addresses labor shortages in physically demanding, hazardous, and high-precision manufacturing tasks while providing a fully domestic solution for next-generation industrial automation.

2. SkyRoam AR-W1

Dual-Mode Intelligent Inspection Robot for All-Terrain Autonomous Operations

Industrial inspection across factories, utility pipelines, equipment rooms, industrial parks, agriculture, and forestry faces several long-standing challenges:

  • Poor obstacle-crossing capability of traditional wheeled robots
  • Slow mobility of legged robots

  • High expansion costs for single-purpose inspection systems

SkyRoam AR-W1 overcomes these limitations through a lightweight hybrid design.

Weighing under 30 kg, the robot features a compact integrated body with dual carrying handles, enabling easy manual transportation and rapid on-site deployment.

Its core is a 6-degree-of-freedom wheel-leg hybrid locomotion system. Large-diameter symmetrical dual wheels deliver speeds of up to 2 m/s, while simultaneously supporting:

  • Autonomous obstacle crossing
  • Climbing slopes up to 8°
  • Stable operation over uneven terrain
  • Efficient movement through complex inspection environments

The robot combines the speed of wheeled platforms with the terrain adaptability of legged systems.

Standardized modular expansion interfaces allow quick installation of:

  • Inspection sensors
  • Lightweight robotic arms
  • Sampling modules

This modular architecture enables one platform to perform multiple inspection tasks while significantly reducing equipment investment for users.

SkyRoam AR-W1 is equipped with a comprehensive visual perception system and comes standard with vision cameras. It supports both:

  • Autonomous inspection patrol
  • Remote teleoperation

Powered by a high-capacity industrial battery, the robot supports:

  • Automatic docking for recharging
  • Wireless charging stations
  • 24/7 continuous unattended operation

The platform also provides complete SDK and API support, enabling both conventional robotic programming and reinforcement learning development.
