Today, the 2nd Embodied Intelligent Robotics Development Conference was held as scheduled at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin). Centered on the theme “Scenario-Driven, Scaling Up: Unlocking New Momentum for Embodied Intelligence,” the event brought together more than 50 academicians, industry experts, and leading entrepreneurs to explore key topics ranging from technological innovation to industrial ecosystem collaboration.
At this gathering of industry expertise, Atomrobot—recognized as a “national-level specialized and sophisticated ‘Little Giant’ enterprise” grown in Tianjin—was invited to participate and showcase its solid progress in advancing embodied intelligence from “exploration” to real-world “application.”
During the conference, ATOMROBOT delivered a keynote speech titled “Following the Trend: ATOMROBOT’s Exploration and Application in Embodied Humanoid Robots.” The presentation emphasized that embodied humanoid robots are currently at a critical stage of industrialization, transitioning from “1 to 10,” where mass production and real-world application scenarios are key to breakthroughs.
Atomrobot’s philosophy of “following the trend” reflects both a sharp understanding of market dynamics and a proactive embrace of technological evolution. According to the latest IDC forecast, the global intelligent robotics hardware market is expected to approach USD 30 billion by 2026, with China leading global growth. Meanwhile, rapid advancements—from Tesla’s Optimus outlining a roadmap toward million-unit production to AI large models enhancing perception and decision-making—are driving humanoid robots from simply “moving” to “intelligently working.”
What sets ATOMROBOT apart is that its approach is not about blindly following trends, but about leveraging over a decade of deep expertise in high-speed industrial robotics. By integrating its parallel robotics DNA into humanoid robots, the company aims to address demanding industrial scenarios involving “dirty, dull, repetitive, and hazardous” tasks, empowering manufacturing with a new generation of “labor force” through hardware innovation.
Among many humanoid robots, Atomrobot’s TIANBING-1 stands out with a distinctive industrial-oriented design philosophy—built not for show, but for stable and reliable operation. One of its most notable innovations is its unique parallel waist mechanism. By incorporating a Stewart parallel structure into this critical component, TIANBING-1 achieves both high flexibility with multiple degrees of freedom and an impressive waist load capacity of up to 200 kg. Whether handling heavy automotive components or performing high-intensity repetitive tasks, it operates with exceptional stability.
At the execution level, the robot is equipped with a 7-axis force-controlled humanoid robotic arm and a hot-swappable end-effector system. This allows seamless switching—from a two-finger gripper to a five-finger dexterous hand—within seconds, enabling it to handle tasks ranging from precision assembly to heavy-duty material handling. Its built-in 170 TOPS edge AI computing power ensures near-zero latency decision-making, while microsecond-level vibration control guarantees high precision in operation.
Furthermore, by integrating LiDAR-based SLAM and stereo vision, TIANBING-1 achieves 360-degree dynamic environment perception and real-time mapping with centimeter-level accuracy. It supports omnidirectional movement with zero turning radius, even in confined spaces—enabling it not only to “see” objects but also to “understand” complex environments.
Currently, TIANBING-1 is primarily deployed in university research labs, chemical laboratories, enterprise training bases, data collection centers, and intelligent server rooms, with multiple projects already implemented.
This progress is built upon 13 years of dedicated focus and accumulation. To date, ATOMROBOT has served over 1,000 customers, with products widely applied across industries including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, daily chemicals, new energy, 3C electronics, and automotive. The company has delivered more than 10,000 units in total.
With over 150 patents and software copyrights, ATOMROBOT has established full-stack in-house capabilities in motion control, controller architecture, and machine vision systems. Its deep expertise in parallel robotics has also led to strong market performance: since 2020, ATOMROBOT has ranked No.1 for five consecutive years in domestic market share among Chinese parallel robot brands, and since 2023, it has ranked No.1 for two consecutive years across all brands in China.
This industrial-grade reliability, proven across diverse sectors, is now embedded into the design and development of TIANBING-1—giving it not only a “smart brain” but also a “robust and durable body,” which is critical for industrial applications.
At this conference, through the presentation of TIANBING-1, ATOMROBOT demonstrated that its humanoid robots are moving from “prototype” to “product,” and from “exhibition” to “production line,” marking a real breakthrough in mass production.
If you are facing labor shortages or efficiency bottlenecks, or if you are seeking automation solutions that can truly be implemented on the factory floor and create tangible value, ATOMROBOT looks forward to in-depth collaboration with you.
